Bedtime Playlist (best songs to listen to when you go to bed)
Everyone has their own rituals and traditions when it comes to settling in for the night, these are some of the most relaxing and melodic songs I have come across in my time.
Feel free to leave yours in the comments.
1) Mogwai – Close Encounters
This song starts of with slow melodic rhodes, and builds into a full fledge symphony of the sandman by the time the song is over.
2) Heroin – The Velvet Underground
This is one of the most iconic songs of rock and roll, and for good reason. It has the ability to take you to a different place when you listen to it in bed with some nice headphones on.
RIP Lou.
3) Wishing Well – Buckethead
This is a true masterpiece, recorded when Buckethead was only 24 years old this song has an instant nostalgic effect on the listener and easily sends you off to sleep without a care in the world.
4) Big Black Car – Gregory Alan Isakov
A beautiful song that I first heard on a commercial, I wont say for what. It seems to be about a mans love for his ladyfriend who might be a bit older than him, or someone he looks up too… sweet dreams.
5) Nightvision – Daft Punk
6) Kathys Song (live 1965) -Simon and Garfunkel

A real classic love song that takes you back to the 1960's for a cold night in New York and a complimentary broken heart. But damn is it ever pretty.
7) Killing The Blues - Robert Plant & Alison Krauss
Such a good song, If you dont know... Robert Plant was one of the genius's behind Led Zeppelin, now he spends his time enjoying the softer side of life and explores the soft side of his creative genius too! sweet dreams :)
